Just a stone’s throw from the market square, Independent Spirits invites you to discover Scottish culinary culture in a relaxed atmosphere within the old cheese hall.
Our focus is on whiskis from independent distilleries, as well as carefully selected Scottish specialities and products.
We plan to set up a small tea room in the shop in the future, inviting you to enjoy a cosy break with tea and delicious scones.
Independent Spirits combines a specialist shop, a place to enjoy fine food and drink, and gift ideas – for connoisseurs, newcomers and everyone who loves Scotland.

Founded by Laura, who brings with her many years of experience in the hospitality industry and as an expedition guide, our aim in St. Gallen is to create a place for discovery, enjoyment and empowerment. We are committed to raising the profile of women in traditionally male-dominated industries and providing them with role models.
